„The contrast adds tension while the structure is fluid and just seems to make sense to me. I chose the painting ‘Paris’ because it conveys the romance and history of the famous city. The black and shimmering colors against the primary background speaks to the essence of Paris’s culture through simplicity. It has a peaceful and calming feeling to me- where as the other piece I chose has the exact opposite effect. Her work ‘Battlefield’ speaks to the soldier side of me by exemplifying the chaos of war and battle. Being a romantic and a warrior- these two paintings express me the best.”
